Women's Pelvic Health

A lot of women assume what they’re feeling is just something they have to live with.
Leaking. Pressure. Pain. Things feeling… off.
But just because it’s common doesn’t mean it’s normal.
At Uplift Pelvic Health, I work one-on-one with women to figure out what’s actually going on — and help you get back to feeling like yourself again.
Common reasons women come in:
-
Leaking when you sneeze, laugh, or work out
-
Feeling like you always have to go (or rushing to the bathroom)
-
Pelvic pressure or heaviness, especially by the end of the day
-
Pain with intimacy
-
Constipation or difficulty fully emptying
-
Pelvic, hip, or low back pain that won’t fully resolve
-
Core weakness or feeling disconnected from your body
-
That sense that something just isn’t quite right
Just because it’s common doesn’t mean it’s normal.
If it’s bothering you, we can figure it out.
"Dr. Garwacki is an amazing PT! I came in with some pelvic floor symptoms and she has helped me fix all of those...I’ve had so much progress... if you have any pelvic floor symptoms or even think you might, go see her, she will help you!!" L.K.

Pregnancy Changes Everything — Including Your Pelvic Floor
Your body goes through a lot during pregnancy and after delivery — and not everything just “goes back to normal” on its own.
If you’re dealing with leaking, pressure, pain, core weakness, or just feel different in your body… you’re not alone.
And you don’t have to wait it out.
At Uplift Pelvic Health, I provide one-on-one pelvic floor physical therapy to support your body through pregnancy, prepare for birth, and guide your recovery after baby — so you can feel strong, supported, and confident in your body again.
Common reasons women come in:
-
Leaking with movement, coughing, or exercise
-
Pelvic pressure or heaviness
-
Pain in the pelvis, hips, or low back
-
Core weakness or diastasis recti
-
Pain with intimacy
-
Difficulty returning to workouts or running
-
Wanting to prepare their body for delivery
You don’t have to guess your way through this.
Let’s make a plan that actually works for your body.
Men's Pelvic Health
Most men don’t think about their pelvic floor — until something feels off.
If you’re dealing with leaking, pain, or discomfort that hasn’t fully resolved… there’s usually a reason. And more importantly, there’s a solution.
At Uplift Pelvic Health, I work one-on-one with men to address pelvic floor and whole-body movement patterns that impact control, comfort, and performance — so you can get back to feeling like yourself again.
Common reasons men come in:
-
Leaking during workouts, lifting, or daily activities
-
Groin, testicular, or pelvic pain
-
Pain or discomfort with sitting or long drives
-
Ongoing hip or low back pain that won’t fully resolve
-
Feeling tight, restricted, or “off” in your core or pelvis
-
Post-prostate surgery recovery
-
Chronic constipation/bowel changes
-
That sense that something just isn’t working the way it should
You’ve probably tried to push through it.
Most guys do.
But if it’s still there, it’s time to actually fix it.

"Dr. Cathy is amazing! The majority of doctors treat the branches on a tree. Dr. Cathy addresses the soil and roots! Dr. Cathy asks the right questions, has great empathy, and creates solutions tailored to what works best for me." M.B.

"Highly recommend! I’ve been having back pain/discomfort for quite a while and couldn’t quite nail down the cause. Pinpointed the problem in the first session and have been fixing the root of the cause. Really improved my daily quality of life and my running ability (long distance runner here)." -Stan

So happy you're here!
Hi, I’m Dr. Cathy Garwacki — and I’m so glad you found me.
I started Uplift Pelvic Health so people in North Georgia could finally get one-on-one pelvic floor physical therapy that truly listens and actually helps you feel better — not just manage symptoms.
My approach is simple: we look at the whole body.
That means understanding how your core, hips, spine, and breathing patterns — along with abdominal and organ mobility — all connect to your pelvic floor. It also means addressing how your nervous system responds to stress, tension, and pain.
Because when your system stays in a constant “on” state, symptoms like pelvic pain, pressure, urinary urgency, leakage, constipation, bloating, and pain with intimacy can persist — even when you’re doing all the “right” things.
When we address the full system, symptoms that felt stuck finally start to shift.
Each session is completely one-on-one, combining hands-on treatment (including pelvic floor and abdominal/visceral work), nervous system regulation strategies, and targeted movement to help you move better, feel stronger, and trust your body again.
Whether you’re preparing for birth, recovering postpartum, navigating perimenopause or menopause, dealing with pelvic pain, bowel issues, or urinary symptoms, or seeking men’s pelvic health support — you deserve care that gets to the root of the problem.
📍 Located in Jasper, GA — serving women and men across North Georgia.

Thoughtful, Expert Care — Just for You
Pelvic Health Is What I Do — Every Day
You won’t find people working on knee replacements or shoulder rehabs here — pelvic health is my specialty, not an add on service with a provider who has taken 1 weekend course in pelvic health.
With over 16 years of hands-on experience, I work exclusively with people living with pelvic floor conditions: pain, pressure, leakage, urgency, intimacy concerns, and more. This is all I do — all day, every day — so your care comes from someone who understands exactly what you’re going through.
One therapist. One plan. Care that’s 100% focused on you.
If you’ve ever been to physical therapy and thought…
“Wait… am I just supposed to do this on my own?”
You’re not alone.
At Uplift, care looks different.
Every visit is one-on-one with me, Dr. Cathy Garwacki.
No handoffs. No techs. No being left to figure it out.
We work together so you understand your symptoms, your body, and exactly what’s driving your progress.
Because you deserve more than a sheet of exercises —
you deserve answers.
Your Pelvic Floor Works With Your Whole Body
Your pelvic floor doesn’t work on its own — it moves when you move, supports when you lift, and responds when you breathe.
That’s why I don’t just hand you kegels or rely on machines. I look at how your hips, spine, posture, breath, and abdominal mobility all connect to your pelvic floor — and how restoring that balance relieves pain, pressure, and leakage.
You’ll build real-life strength and confidence so you can move freely and feel good in your body again.
Private, Personalized Care
Ever felt uncomfortable talking about pelvic health in a busy clinic?
At Uplift, your sessions happen in a quiet, private space — never in a crowded gym. You’ll always work one-on-one with me, in a setting designed for comfort, privacy, and true healing.
Because YOU deserve to be taken seriously...
Ever been told to “just wait and see” or “have a glass of wine”?
At Uplift, we actually listen. Your pressure, pain, or leaking are real — and they deserve more than quick fixes or dismissive advice. You’ll be heard, understood, and guided with care that gets to the root of what’s going on — so you can start feeling like yourself again.
Build a Stronger Foundation — Beyond a Quick Fix
Medications and surgery can help in the short term — but they don’t retrain your body to manage pressure or movement.
At Uplift, we focus on treating the cause, not just the symptoms, through whole-body pelvic floor therapy that builds true strength and lasting relief.
Frequently Asked Questions:
How do I know if I need pelvic floor physical therapy?
If something feels off — leaking, pressure, pain, or changes in your bladder or bowel habits — it’s worth getting checked out. These are common issues, but they’re also very treatable.
Is this just something that happens after having kids or getting older?
A lot of people are told that… but it’s not the full story. These changes are common, but they’re not something you have to live with long-term.
What happens at the first visit?
Your first visit is a one-on-one session where we take the time to understand what’s going on and what you want to get back to doing.
We’ll look at how your body is working — including your core, breathing, and pelvic floor — and create a plan tailored to you.
If appropriate, we may include an internal assessment, but this is always optional and fully explained ahead of time.
You’ll leave with answers, a plan, and clear next steps.
How long does it take to see results?
Most people start noticing changes within the first few visits.
A typical plan begins with once per week sessions, along with a personalized program to keep you progressing between visits.
We’ll track your progress and adjust as needed — so you’re not left wondering if it’s working.
Can you help even if I’ve had symptoms for years?
Yes. A lot of our patients have been dealing with symptoms for a long time before coming in. It’s never “too late” to make meaningful improvements.
Do you do internal exams?
Sometimes — but not always. Everything is explained ahead of time, and you’re always in control. We can still make meaningful progress without internal work if that’s your preference.
Will I have to do Kegels?
Not always. In many cases, the pelvic floor actually needs to learn how to relax and coordinate — not just tighten. Your plan will be based on what your body actually needs.
Still have questions? Completely normal, we are happy to answer any questions you may have. You'll speak to a real human with pelvic health knowledge, not an answering service.
