What does a treatment session involve at Uplift?

Each session at Uplift starts with a quick check-in, then we make a clear plan for the day — a combination of hands-on work, targeted exercises, and fine-tuning your home program.   We’ll wrap up with what to focus on at home and how it ties into what you want to get back to in daily life.

"Dr. Cathy has been such an incredible help to me... it is a night a day difference since I first started seeing her.  She helped ease my mind that life can go on and you don't have to be in pelvic pain. She would get 10 stars from me! I would recommend her to anyone!" R.T.

  • Urinary Incontinence

  • Urinary Urgency and/or Frequency

  • Pelvic Organ Prolapse

  • Pelvic Pain

  • Painful Intercourse (Dyspareunia)

  • Chronic Constipation

  • Vaginismus (pain in the vagina)

  • Painful Periods

  • Interstitial Cystitis or Painful Bladder Syndrome

  • Endometriosis

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome

  • Vulvodynia (pain in the vulva or outside of the vagina)

  • And more!

I take a whole-body approach to care — addressing the root causes of your symptoms, not just treating the surface problems.

Get out of pain. Stop leaking. Feel better — with the Pelvic Peace Program.

"Dr. Garwacki is an amazing PT! I came in with some pelvic floor symptoms and she has helped me fix all of those...I’ve had so much progress... if you have any pelvic floor symptoms or even think you might, go see her, she will help you!!" L.K.

Do you do internal pelvic floor work?

Yes — when it’s appropriate and with your full consent. Internal work is one tool I use to understand and treat the deeper muscles of the pelvic floor, but it’s never the whole picture.
We’ll always talk through what’s planned, why it matters, and make sure you’re 100% comfortable every step of the way.

Pregnancy Changes Everything — Including Your Pelvic Floor

Your core and pelvic floor are working hard to support your growing body. And when those systems are out of sync, it can lead to discomfort, pressure, leaking, or that vague feeling that something just isn’t quite right.

The good news?
You don’t have to wait until after delivery to get relief.

Early pelvic floor care can make pregnancy more comfortable — and set you up for a smoother recovery once baby arrives.

Let’s help your body work with you, not against you, through every stage of pregnancy.

I Can Help With:

  • Back pain

  • Urinary leakage or urgency

  • Pubic symphysis or pelvic girdle pain

  • Core and hip weakness

  • Ab separation (diastasis recti)

  • Pelvic floor changes that may affect delivery and recovery

Why Start Now?

Starting pelvic floor physical therapy during pregnancy can:

  • Relieve pain and leakage before they worsen

  • Prepare your body for your best possible delivery

  • Support a faster, safer return to exercise and daily life postpartum

  • Reduce the risk of long-term pelvic floor issues like incontinence or prolapse

Will I have to do Kegels?

Not necessarily! Kegels are just one small piece of pelvic health — and they’re not right for everyone.
Some people actually need to learn how to relax their pelvic floor before they can strengthen it. At Uplift, we figure out what your body needs, so you get better results without frustration.

Men's Pelvic Health

Pelvic floor symptoms in men are more common than you think — and more treatable than you’ve been told.

Whether you’re dealing with leaking, urgency, pain, or intimacy issues, the Peak Performance program helps you rebuild strength, restore control, and get back to doing what you love.

I work with men navigating:

  • Leaking with lifting or coughing

  • Urgency, frequency, or incomplete emptying

  • Erectile dysfunction linked to pelvic floor dysfunction

  • Post-prostatectomy recovery

  • Pelvic pain, pressure, or tailbone discomfort

  • Performance-focused movement, core, and breath retraining

You don’t need to “just live with it.”
Let’s get to the root of your symptoms — and fix them for good.

"Dr. Cathy is amazing! Seeing her for an overactive bladder...the condition is improving! The majority of doctors treat the branches on a tree. Dr. Cathy addresses the soil and roots! Dr. Cathy asks the right questions, has great empathy, and creates solutions tailored to what works best for me." M.B.

"Dr. Cathy is the standard of care that all people should seek... a practitioner that is actually cares about what she is doing and whom she is helping. I'm very happy with everything I've been accomplishing Physical Therapy wise with her."

"Highly recommend! I’ve been having back pain/discomfort for quite a while and couldn’t quite nail down the cause. Pinpointed the problem in the first session and have been fixing the root of the cause. Really improved my daily quality of life and my running ability (long distance runner here)." -Stan

So happy you're here!

Hi, I’m Dr. Cathy Garwacki — and I’m so glad you found me.

I started Uplift Pelvic Health so people in North Georgia could finally get one-on-one pelvic floor care that truly listens and actually helps you feel better — not just manage symptoms.

My approach is simple: we look at the whole body.
That means understanding how your core, hips, breath, and even daily habits connect to your pelvic floor. Each session is completely one-on-one, combining hands-on treatment and targeted exercise to help you move better, feel stronger, and live without pain or leakage.

Whether you’re recovering after childbirth, navigating menopause, dealing with pelvic pain, or addressing men’s pelvic health concerns — you deserve care that gets to the root of the problem and restores confidence in your body.

📍 Located in Jasper, GA — serving women and men across North Georgia.

Thoughtful, Expert Care — Just for You

Pelvic Health Is What I Do — Every Day

You won’t find people working on knee replacements or shoulder rehabs here — pelvic health is my specialty, not an add on service with a provider who has taken 1 weekend course in pelvic health.

With over 16 years of hands-on experience, I work exclusively with people living with pelvic floor conditions: pain, pressure, leakage, urgency, intimacy concerns, and more. This is all I do — all day, every day — so your care comes from someone who understands exactly what you’re going through.

One therapist. One plan. Care that’s 100% focused on you.

When you come to Uplift, you’re not being passed from one provider to the next — you’re working directly with me, Dr. Cathy Garwacki, at every visit.

No techs. No handoffs. No distractions.

Just one-on-one, focused care designed around your body and your goals.
Because lasting results come from treatment that’s personal, hands-on, and backed by years of pelvic health expertise — not a quick fix.

Your Pelvic Floor Works With Your Whole Body

Your pelvic floor doesn’t work on its own — it moves when you move, supports when you lift, and responds when you breathe.

That’s why I don’t just hand you kegels or rely on machines. I look at how your hips, spine, posture, and breath all connect to your pelvic floor — and how restoring that balance relieves pain, pressure, and leakage.

You’ll build real-life strength and confidence so you can move freely and feel good in your body again.

Private, Personalized Care

Ever felt uncomfortable talking about pelvic health in a busy clinic?

At Uplift, your sessions happen in a quiet, private space — never in a crowded gym. You’ll always work one-on-one with me, in a setting designed for comfort, privacy, and true healing.

Because YOU deserve to be taken seriously...

Ever been told to “just wait and see” or “have a glass of wine”?

At Uplift, we actually listen. Your pressure, pain, or leaking are real — and they deserve more than quick fixes or dismissive advice. You’ll be heard, understood, and guided with care that gets to the root of what’s going on — so you can start feeling like yourself again.

Build a Stronger Foundation — Beyond a Quick Fix

Medications and surgery can help in the short term — but they don’t retrain your body to manage pressure or movement.

At Uplift, we focus on treating the cause, not just the symptoms, through whole-body pelvic floor therapy that builds true strength and lasting relief.

I find her expansive knowledge and understanding of the body as a whole to be unmatched and look forward to sending her referrals for many years to come. Her bedside manner and sense of humor couple well to create a beautifully safe and informative environment.
